【摘要】:ThispartofIEC60079providesguidanceonclassificationofgasesandvapours.Itdescribesatestmethodintendedforthemeasurementofthemaximumexperimentalsafegaps(MESG)forgas-orvapour-airmixturesundernormalconditionsoftemperature1andpressuresoastopermittheselectionofanappropriategroupofequipment.Themethoddoesnottakeintoaccountthepossibleeffectsofobstaclesonthesafegaps2.Thisstandarddescribesalsoatestmethodintendedforuseinthedeterminationoftheauto-ignitiontemperatureofachemicallypurevapourorgasinairatatmosphericpressure.Thetabulatedvaluesofchemicalandengineeringpropertiesofsubstancesareprovidedtoassistengineersintheirselectionofequipmenttobeusedinhazardousareas.Itishopedtopublishfurtherdatafromtimetotime,astheresultsoftestsmadeinseveralcountriesbecomeavailable.Thescopeofthesedatahasbeenselectedwithparticularreferencetotheuseofequipmentinhazardousareas,andnoticehasbeentakenofstandardmeasurementmethods.NOTE1Thedatainthisstandardhavebeentakenfromanumberofreferenceswhicharegiveninthebibliography.NOTE2Somevariationsinthedatamayappearwhenreferencesarecompared,butusuallythediscrepancyissufficientlysmalltobeofnoimportanceintheselectionofequipment.
