【摘要】:Appropriatepurgingandsamplingequipmentmustbeusedtoensurethatsamplescollectedfrommonitoringwellsrepresenttheground-waterchemistryofthedesiredwaterbearingzone.Thisguideisintendedtobeacommonreferenceforpurgingandsamplingdevices.Itcanbeappliedtoground-waterqualitysamplingfrommonitoringwellsusedforground-watercontaminationevaluation,watersupplycharacterization,andresearch.Thisguideincludesanumberofgeneralguidancestatementsthatarenotdirectlyrelatedtotheoperatingprinciplesorcharacteristicsoftheequipment.Thesestatementsaregiventoassisttheuserinunderstandingtheapplicationoftheequipment,whichcouldultimatelyaffecttheselectionprocess.1.1Thisguidedescribesthecharacteristicsandoperatingprinciplesofpurgingandsamplingdevicesavailableforuseinground-watermonitoringwellsandprovidescriteriaforselectingappropriatedevicesforspecificapplications.Theselecteddevice(s)shouldbecapableofpurgingthewellandprovidingvalidrepresentativesamplesofgroundwaterandanyincludeddissolvedconstituents.Thescopedoesnotincludeproceduresforpurgingorcollectingsamplesfrommonitoringwells,samplingdevicesfornon-aqueousphaseliquids,diffusion-typesamplingdevicesorsamplingfromdevicesotherthanmonitoringwells.1.2Thisguidereviewsmanyofthemostcommonlyuseddevicesforpurgingandsamplingground-watermonitoringwells.Thepractitionermustmakeeveryefforttoensurethatthepurgingandsamplingmethodsused,whetherornottheyareaddressedinthisguide,areadequatetosatisfythemonitoringobjectivesateachsite.1.3Thisguideoffersanorganizedcollectionofinformationoraseriesofoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgement.Notallaspectsofthisguidemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationofthemanyuniqueaspectsofaproject.Theword"Standard"inthetitleofthisdocumentmeansonlythatthedocumenthasbeenapprovedthroughtheASTMconsensusprocess.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
