【摘要】:ThispartofISO13468coversthedeterminationofthetotalluminoustransmittance,inthevisibleregionofthespectrum,ofplanartransparentandsubstantiallycolourlessplastics,usingadouble-beamscanningspectro-photometer.ThispartofISO13468cannotbeusedforplasticswhichcontainfluorescentmaterials.ThispartofISO13468isapplicabletotransparentmouldingmaterials,filmsandsheetsnotexceeding10mminthickness.NOTE1Totalluminoustransmittancecanalsobedeterminedbyasingle-beaminstrumentasinpart1ofthisInternationalStandard.NOTE2Substantiallycolourlessplasticsincludethosewhicharefaintlytinted.NOTE3Specimensmorethan10mmthickmaybemeasuredprovidedtheinstrumentcanaccommodatethem,buttheresultsmaynotbecomparablewiththoseobtainedusingspecimenslessthan10mmthick.

【摘要】:Advancedceramicsarecandidatematerialsforstructuralapplicationsrequiringhighdegreesofwearandcorrosionresistance,oftenatelevatedtemperatures.Jointsareproducedtoenhancetheperformanceandapplicabilityofmaterials.Whilethejointsbetweensimilarmaterialsaregenerallymadeformanufacturingcomplexpartsandrepairingcomponents,thoseinvolvingdissimilarmaterialsusuallyareproducedtoexploittheuniquepropertiesofeachconstituentinthenewcomponent.Dependingonthejoiningprocess,thejointregionmaybetheweakestpartofthecomponent.Sinceundermixed-modeandshearloading,theloadtransferacrossthejointrequiresreasonableshearstrength,itisimportantthatthequalityandintegrityofjointunderin-planeshearforcesbequantified.Shearstrengthdataarealsoneededtomonitorthedevelopmentofnewandimprovedjoiningtechniques.Sheartestsprovideinformationonthestrengthanddeformationofmaterialsundershearstresses.Thistestmethodmaybeusedformaterialdevelopment,materialcomparison,qualityassurance,characterization,anddesigndatageneration.Forqualitycontrolpurposes,resultsderivedfromstandardizedsheartestspecimensmaybeconsideredindicativeoftheresponseofthematerialfromwhichtheyweretakenforgivenprimaryprocessingconditionsandpost-processingheattreatments.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofshearstrengthofjointsinadvancedceramicsatambienttemperature.Testspecimengeometries,testspecimenfabricationmethods,testingmodes(thatis,forceordisplacementcontrol),testingrates(thatis,forceordisplacementrate),datacollection,andreportingproceduresareaddressed.1.2Thistestmethodisusedtomeasureshearstrengthofceramicjointsintestspecimensextractedfromlargerjoinedpiecesbymachining.Testspecimensfabricatedinthiswayarenotexpectedtowarpduetotherelaxationofresidualstressesbutareexpectedtobemuchstraighterandmoreuniformdimensionallythanbutt-jointedtestspecimenspreparedbyjoiningtwohalves,whicharenotrecommended.Inaddition,thistestmethodisintendedforjoints,whichhaveeitherloworintermediatestrengthswithrespecttothesubstratematerialtobejoined.Jointswithhighstrengthsshouldnotbetestedbythistestmethodbecauseofthehighprobabilityofinvalidtestsresultingfromfracturesinitiatingatthereactionpointsratherthaninthejoint.Determinationoftheshearstrengthofjointsusingthistestmethodisappropriateparticularlyforadvancedceramicmatrixcompositematerialsbutalsomaybeusefulformonolithicadvancedceramicmaterials.1.3ValuesexpressedinthistestmethodareinaccordancewiththeInternationalSystemofUnits(SI)andPracticeIEEE/ASTMSI10.1.4Thistestmethoddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthistestmethodtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecautionarystatementsarenotedin8.1and8.2.
